LIAM BADDELEY

Liam Baddeley

Hi, I’m Liam and I’m originally from Chesterfield here in the UK. Following the completion of my undergraduate degree here at Loughborough I began my PhD in Mathematics in October 2018.

Outside of my PhD I enjoy cooking and am a project leader for Action’s Soup Kitchen where we cater for members of the community in need of a hot meal. I am also a sub-warden at Towers Hall, a PGR rep. for my department, and the lead PGR rep. for the School of Science so some of you may already know me from these. I got involved in each of these with the desire to help provide a positive university experience for those around me after having such a great experience myself until this point and is a major reason why I decided to get so involved with PhD SSN. I think it is a great place to build friendships and share memories with other researchers that have incredibly diverse life experiences and which you would likely have never crossed paths with otherwise.

Overall the PhD SSN offers a friendly and inclusive environment with a great variety of events to get involved in, you are sure to find something you’re interested in. If not, get in touch and we will do our best to help.
