Crafting Compelling Narratives: Captivate Investors, Forge Collaborations, and Inspire Support for Your Vision

In this talk Ian will share the different ways we can encourage people to support our project, give us investment or help us find a job. Ian will take us through the journey of pitching from the 3 second introduction, to the 7 min investment pitch and post pitch. It will include templates and real examples.
Ian Tracey, a seasoned entrepreneur and the Co-Founder of Anchored In since April 2020, possesses a rich history of guiding companies toward growth through strategic insights and clear storytelling. In this role, Ian leverages an extensive network to help companies comprehend the intricate mix of funding and connections crucial for success, ensuring their stories resonate with customers, grant providers, and investors. Notable projects include spearheading Innovate UK Edge’s National Pitchfest Training, serving on the Governance Board for Aspect, and contributing as a Scale Up NED across diverse sectors. Prior to Anchored In, Ian held the position of Head of Access to Funding & Finance at Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), overseeing relationships with investors and contributing to the Estonian Research and Innovation system’s Peer Review. Earlier roles include Secretary General at HEPTech, where Ian represented large science institutes and spun out successful companies, and leadership positions at STFC Innovations and Content Communication Ltd. Ian’s dynamic career encompasses entrepreneurship, innovation strategy, and impactful directorships across various growth stages, reflecting commitment to driving meaningful change in the business landscape.
